For some reason most medical doctors don’t bother to ask their patients if they're having regular bowel movements. Then again, most people don't know what "regular" bowel movements are. Most think that it's not important to have a bowel movement every day. At the same time, their doctors think its ok if their patients only have 2-3 bowel movements a week. Which is a definite sign of you having impacted stools in your colon.
If you were to have one or more bowel movements a day, you may still be constipated. Sounds hopeless, well have no fear and keep reading. If you're leaving fecal matter along the inner lining of your colon because you don’t eat enough fiber and drink enough water, this is constipation. In case you didn't know, constipation is the elimination of ALL fecal matter that passes through your colon after every meal.
When you sit on the toilet do you have to stay there over 10 minutes pushing, straining, or struggling to have a bowel movement, and you still don't feel empty...then you're constipated. Straining leads to hemorrhoids, varicose veins, and/or fissures. So it's pretty easy to know if you have impacted stools in your colon. If you eat three times a day, then you should have three bowel movements a day. Your first bowel movement should be in the morning when you wake up or soon after you have breakfast. You should experience the urge for a bowel movement no more than 10 hours after you eat. Anything more than 10 hours and you know you're very constipated, and you have meals backing up in your colon and staying there too long.
When you have impacted stools because waste is staying too long in your colon, water and toxins are pulled out of the fecal matter and absorbed through your colon wall back into the body. This auto-intoxication causes all kinds of insidious health problems, while also making the impacted stools stiff and hard. You will now have a hard time moving this hard and toxic fecal matter through the colon sections and out the rectum. The result is puffing and straining, while at the same time creating an unhealthy body.
It's very important to keep your elimination regular to avoid creating impacted stools in your colon. A good internal cleansing product can really help you.

The Body System: Detoxification
Internal cleanliness is very important for your vitality, energy, vibrant health, and slowing the aging process. Internal detoxification is an ongoing process that our bodies perform daily. In much the same way that our hearts beat nonstop and our lungs constantly breathe, our bodies continually encounter and dispose of a variety of toxins and poisons. We have organs that are vital for detoxification, I'm going to go over them in detail.
1. The Skin: Our body's largest organ is the skin, it releases toxins through perspiration. When we work up a sweat you help the process along. This is the reason for the "un-fresh" odor most of us have after heavy sweating. Toxic people tend to have a more distinct odor than non-toxic people, so toxic people may feel the need to shower more often. To truly get clean you need to cleanse the internal organs so that not as many toxins need to escape through the skin.
Signs of an excess amount of toxins needing to escape though the skin are:
Acne, Rashes, Jock Itch, Athletes Foot, Blemishes, Dry Skin, Itchy Skin, hives, and boils.
The Cleansers that help pull the toxins out of the body through the skin include saunas, Epsom salt baths, exercise, diaphoretic herbs(increases sweating) such as yarrow and elder flowers, and minerals...especially methylsulfonylmethane(MSM).
2. The Liver: The Liver is probably the least understood and yet is one of the most complex of the primary organs of the detoxification system and the body for that matter. All the blood in your body is filtered through the liver non-stop, which removes numerous toxic and poisonous chemicals from the body and environment. The liver also produces bile(made from cholesterol), which is an emulsifier that breaks down and eliminates excess fat and other fat-soluble toxins from the body. Bile carrying fat and toxins attaches to fiber in the intestines which is then excreted through the colon.
Researchers accept that 90% of all cancers are caused by the effects of environmental carcinogens, such as cigarette smoke, food chemicals, polluted air and water, and a combination of nutritional deficiencies. These things impair the proper function of the body causing an overload on the liver. The liver only clears about 90% of toxins from blood before recirculating it through the body. If the liver is overloaded by things such as drug residues, alcohol, pesticides, and other environmental chemicals we breathe, drink, and eat. It will eventually cause other organs to receive dirty and toxic blood, which will cause them to operate inefficiently. The proper functioning of the liver detoxification system is essential for the prevention of cancer.
The cleansers for the liver include milk thistle, dandelion, yellowdock, turmeric, licorice, and schisandra.
3. The Kidneys and Bladder: This pair flush out water-soluble toxins from the body into the urine. Drinking plenty of water(8 cups a day or more) helps these organs function properly. Your kidneys play an important part in how the detoxification system works. Cleansing your kidneys is a way to improve how your kidneys function, as well as improving your overall health.
The kidneys helps your body to maintain a proper fluid balance and regulates the amount of electrolytes in your body. These are substances, such as salts, that will disperse into ions when they are mixed with water. In order to be in good heath, you have to have the right balance of water and electrolytes in your body. If your kidneys are unhealthy, the rest of your body will be, as well. The cleansers include dandelion(one of the best diuretic herbs), parsley, red clover, goldenrod, and couch grass.
4. The Gallbladder: This organ accumulates toxins from the liver and sends them into the small intestines to be eliminated. It also stores and releases bile to help break down fats. Gallbladder disease and gallstones are common and are almost always the result of poor nutrition. Such as consuming a lot of soft drinks, refined sugar products, highly acidic foods like red meat and products made with refined white flour, and white rice all contribute to the formation of gallstones. So cleansing the gallbladder is crucial for it to remain in top shape. The cleansers include turmeric, barberry, boldo, dandelion, yellowdock, milk thistle, and fringtree.
5. The Intestines: The intestinal tract and colon help break down food and the elimination of waste. This is where most of your nutrients are absorbed into the body. Those with a plugged or dirty intestinal tract tend to never be satisfied after eating for this reason. A person with a properly functioning digestive tract should have a bowel movement at least 10 hours after eating, and should be having 1 to 3 bowel movements a day. Fiber and Probiotics(good bacteria) are necessary for you to have a healthy and properly functioning colon. The recommended dietary fiber intake for adults is around 25-30 grams per day. There are two types of fiber, one is insoluble fiber because it doesn't dissolve in water. It passes into the colon where it helps to form stools. The other is soluble fibers, these fibers are easily dissolved by water. They also pass into the colon where bacteria ferment soluble fiber into a lubricating gel that helps to make stools soft and helps to moisturize the colon lining. Fibers helpful for toxin binding are psyllium seed and flaxseed.
Probiotics are live microorganisms that may benefit a person upon ingestion by improving the balance of the intestinal flora. The intestinal flora is important for the immune system. The flora reinforce the barrier function of the intestinal mucosa, helping in the prevention of the attachment of pathogenic microorganisms and the entry of allergens. Some members of the flora may contribute to the body's requirements for certain vitamins, including biotin, pantothenic acid and vitamin B12. A decline of the microbial flora of the intestine may occur with antibiotic use, disease, and aging can negatively affect its beneficial role.
As you can see, all of these organs play vital roles in the detoxification system. Keeping them clean and functioning properly is very important to our overall health, this can be done with a good internal cleansing product.
